  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour Provides structure to the bread.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth using a fork.
  • Add the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix well. Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until no dry flour remains, being careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and then pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top if necessary.
  • Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas and be cautious not to overmix the batter. You can customize by adding chopped nuts or different types of chocolate.
