Preparation of Dressing

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, white wine vinegar, chopped dill, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.

Prepare Vegetables

  • Wash the cucumbers under cold water and thinly slice them, peeling if desired. Wash and slice the red onion thinly.

Combine Ingredients

  • In the bowl with the dressing, add the sliced cucumbers and onions. Gently toss until well coated.

Chill and Serve

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Stir gently before serving.

Notes

Best served cold; can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
