  • 1 medium Onion Diced.
  • 2 medium Carrots Diced.
  • 2 stalks Celery Diced.
  • 4 cups Beef broth For cooking and depth of flavor.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Like cheddar, added before serving.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • optional Herbs Like parsley or thyme, for garnish.

Preparation

  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart and draining excess fat.
  • Prepare the vegetables: Dice the potatoes, chop the onions, carrots, and celery.

Combining Ingredients

  • Place the browned beef in the crockpot, followed by the potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery.
  • Pour in the beef broth and stir gently to distribute the ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours until vegetables are tender.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and add optional herbs before serving.

Notes

You can customize by adding more vegetables or spices. To store, refrigerate after cooling and reheat on the stove or microwave.
