Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash all your vegetables thoroughly. Slice the cucumbers into half-moon shapes (about a quarter-inch thick). Halve the cherry tomatoes. Thinly slice the red onion.

Assembly

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cucumbers, tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and red onion. Tear the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the top.

Dressing

  • Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the salad followed by balsamic glaze. Season with sea salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.

Serving

  • Gently toss all the ingredients together. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 15-30 minutes for flavors to meld.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh ingredients and allow the salad to chill slightly before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
