Preparation

  • Heat the all-purpose flour in the microwave for 20-second intervals until it reaches 165°F, which will take about 40-60 seconds, or toast in a 350°F oven for 3-5 minutes.
  • Allow the heated flour to cool completely.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Gradually add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing thoroughly.

Combining

  • Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Notes

For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and substitute milk with a non-dairy alternative. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.
