Ingredients
  

For the Quesadillas

  • 4 pieces Flour tortillas Sturdy base for holding fillings
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend) Provides melty texture and flavor
  • 1 cup Cooked meat (chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu) Optional for adding protein
  • 1 cup Bell peppers (any color) Provides sweetness and crunch
  • 0.5 cup Onion Enhances overall flavor
  • to taste Salt and pepper, and optional spices (cumin, chili powder) Elevates the taste of all ingredients

Preparation

  • Prepare all ingredients: Cook any meat ahead of time, slice bell peppers and onions, and shred cheese.
  • Cut a piece of aluminum foil (about 12 inches), place one tortilla in the center, and spoon the filling mixture onto the tortilla.
  • Top with another tortilla to create a sandwich, then fold the foil around the tortillas tightly to create a packet.

Cooking

  • Preheat your campfire or grill to medium heat.
  • Place the foil packets over the heat source and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Carefully unwrap the foil and serve the quesadillas hot.

Notes

Experiment with fillings, prepare packets ahead of time, and store leftovers in an airtight container. Reheat in a microwave or stovetop for best results.
