Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add one pound of ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Cooking

  • Add broccoli florets, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), brown sugar, and beef broth to the skillet.
  • If thickening, add cornstarch slurry and stir to combine.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes until broccoli is tender and bright green.

Finishing Touches

  • Stir in sesame oil and grated ginger (if using), adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over cooked rice or quinoa.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container for up to three days. Feel free to mix up the vegetables or adjust the sauces for additional flavor variations.
