Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey or chicken with cooked quinoa.
  • Add chopped spinach, diced onion, and breadcrumbs to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the mixture and add the egg. Mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into uniform burger patties.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Place the patties into the skillet, cooking them in batches if necessary.
  • Cook each patty for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer the cooked patties to a plate and allow them to rest before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize these burgers with your favorite toppings. They can be served on whole-grain buns, lettuce wraps, or on a bed of salad. For meal prep, these patties can be frozen for later use.
