Ingredients
Cookie Base
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Honey Use pure honey for the best flavor.
- 2 large Eggs Ensure they are at room temperature.
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (optional) Adds a warm spice note.
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
- 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional) Nuts can be added for a crunchy texture.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mixing Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add honey and mix until well combined, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until no dry flour remains and the dough is soft.
- If using chopped nuts, fold them into the dough gently.
Baking
- Portion the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space for spreading. Flatten each ball slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
