Ingredients
  

Base Layer

  • 2 pieces Flour tortillas Flexible and perfect for wrapping.

Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Adds strong flavor and melty texture.
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese Provides gooeyness and creaminess.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Sautéed bell peppers Adds sweetness and bright color.

Optional Protein

  • 4 slices Crispy bacon Optional, adds smoky flavor.

Other Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Butter For crisping the tortillas.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses with sautéed bell peppers and crumbled bacon (if using). Mix well.
  • Preheat skillet over medium heat and butter one side of each tortilla.

Cooking

  • Place one tortilla in the skillet, butter side down. Add a heap of cheese mixture in the center.
  • Top with a second tortilla, butter side up, and press gently.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot with salsa.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas or add extra veggies. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the fridge for up to three days.
