Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 large large eggs Main component providing protein and healthy fats.
  • 3 slices slices of bacon Adds savory flavor and fat.
  • 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced Provides umami flavor and is low in carbs.
  • to taste Salt Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Enhances flavor.
  • Optional Fresh herbs for garnishing Use herbs like chives or parsley for color and flavor.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Bacon

  • Place three slices of bacon into a skillet over medium heat and fry until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Flip occasionally.
  • Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain excess grease. Let cool, then chop into small pieces.

Sautéing the Mushrooms

  • Using the same skillet with leftover bacon grease, add sliced mushrooms. Sauté over medium heat until tender, about 4-5 minutes.

Preparing the Egg Mixture

  • Crack three large eggs into a medium bowl, season with salt and pepper, and whisk until fully combined and frothy.

Cooking the Omelette

  • Pour the egg mixture over sautéed mushrooms in the skillet, then sprinkle chopped bacon on top.
  • Cook until the edges start to set, about 2-3 minutes, then gently fold the omelette in half using a spatula.
  • Let it cook for another minute, then slide onto a plate and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add other low-carb vegetables like spinach or zucchini. Use quality bacon for the best flavor and consider adding cheese for a richer taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
