Filling

  • 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken Can be substituted with shredded turkey or sautéed vegetables for a vegetarian option.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Crescent Roll Dough

  • 2 cans crescent rolls Can substitute with homemade dough if preferred.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all the ingredients for the filling.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and softened cream cheese.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly distributed.

Assembling the Rolls

  • Unroll the crescent rolls and separate each triangle carefully.
  • On the wider end of each triangle, place a generous spoonful of the cheesy chicken mixture.
  • Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough toward the point and press gently to secure the filling.

Baking

  • Place the rolled-up crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow cooling for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For a sharper flavor, consider using pepper jack cheese. You can prepare the filling in advance and use rotisserie chicken for quicker preparation. Enjoy fresh out of the oven for the best texture.
