Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and vanilla extract. Stir well and set aside for about 15 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing. Fold in Cool Whip until creamy.

Assembly

  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer graham crackers at the bottom.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crackers, followed by half of the macerated strawberries. Repeat the layers.

Chilling

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until it is firm.
