Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh strawberries Washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 2 cups Mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Crushed pineapple Drained
  • 2 cups Whipped cream or Cool Whip Can substitute plain yogurt for a lighter option
  • 2 cups Crushed cereal (Frosted Flakes or Cornflakes) Adds a crunchy texture
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (optional) Adds extra texture and flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing the strawberries under cool water. Dry them, then remove the green tops and slice them into quarters or halves.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, mini marshmallows, and crushed pineapple. Ensure the pineapple is drained to avoid excess moisture.
  • Gently fold the ingredients together without mashing the strawberries.
  • Gradually add the whipped cream or Cool Whip, folding it in until well combined and the ingredients are uniformly coated.
  • Fold in the crushed cereal and any optional nuts, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the salad into a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let it chill in the refrigerator for about one hour before serving.

Notes

Choose ripe strawberries for best results. You can customize this salad by adding different seasonal fruits like blueberries or kiwi. The cereal will lose its crunch over time, so add it just before serving.
