Instructions
 

Preparation of the Crust

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  • Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl.
  • Mix until well-coated and transfer to a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  • Press the mixture firmly to form a compact layer.
  • Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.

Preparation of the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and whipped topping.
  • Mix until smooth and creamy, then set aside to cool.

Assembly

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  • Mix sliced strawberries with strawberry gelatin and pour over the cream cheese layer.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Consider different flavored gelatin to change the dessert's profile. Make ahead for improved taste.
