Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas using a wooden spoon.
  • Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  • Gradually mix in the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Fold in the all-purpose flour gently until just incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for best results. You can add nuts or chocolate chips for variation. Store in an airtight container for up to four days at room temperature.
